Club Azuli has been the first party in the Ibiza diary for thousands of clued up clubbers over the last 3 years. With residencies at El Divino followed by Space last year, Azuli proved beyond doubt that their hugely successful UK residency at The Cross was no fluke. Club Azuli parties became some of the most talked about on the island thanks to the latest, electronic edged house, the unforgettable party atmosphere and the famed Club Azuli trash glamour crowds.
There has been plenty of talk about the changes that have been going on in Ibiza this year. Many Ibiza regulars feel that the much publicised decision of local councils to end any gathering between 6am and 4.30pm has shifted the once hedonistic island in a different direction. Add in the further regulation of any music played outside, and the party people who once danced in the sunshine at lunchtime appear to be heading for extinction.
However, Azuli rarely miss a trick; you don’t outlive nearly every other dance label and brand out there without knowing when to adapt and change. So this year Azuli leave the confines of a weekly residency and opt for a series of exclusive, hush hush parties that will take place in stunning locations across the island.
It’s a move that takes the example of the Ibiza of old, making the parties special, exciting and exclusive. Once again, Azuli will stand out from the crowd in a cluttered market. Azuli head honcho David Piccioni explains,
“We’ve done the big clubs and they’re great. One day we may be back there doing big parties, but this year it felt right to embrace the changes and look at a different way of doing things, to put a party on that people would talk about for weeks rather than a day. We have all the ingredients to make that happen.”
The date for the first party has been revealed as Wednesday 4th June, three days after the Space Opening, sitting perfectly between this and the now infamous sister opening of DC10 on the Monday. Azuli are still keeping the DJ line up close to their chest, but one thing is certain; Azuli know how to put on a party. They have played host to some of the world’s most forward thinking and cutting edge house DJs, globally renowned for their ability to rock a party. There will be some very special guests and surprises in store! Without doubt, Club Azuli’s secret beach parties are going to be the talk of Ibiza 08.
